For the businesses that make what they sell.
For joiners, fabricators, cabinet makers and trade suppliers: production, stock and orders in the same StackLyft as your quotes, jobs and invoices, with your Shopify orders coming in as jobs.
At a glance
Recipes and production runs, costed as they go. Stock by location and lot, on one ledger. Supply orders picked, packed and dispatched. Shopify orders in as jobs.
Production runs
Recipes up to 12 levels deep, runs with their own stages and batches, and every batch costed at what it actually used.
Stock you can count on
On hand by location and lot, with holds on stock that fails a check, an alert when something runs low and every movement on a ledger.
Supply orders
A supply-only order is a job with the customer, the delivery address, their order number and the date it is needed, and it is invoiced like any other job.
Pick, pack and dispatch
Consignments with an A4 pick slip and a label for every package, sent in one go or several, and the stock comes off as it leaves.
Shopify orders as jobs
Your Shopify products stay in step with your catalogue, and an order comes in as a customer and a job, marked fulfilled in Shopify when it is dispatched.
Sales and profit by product
What each made product sold for, what it cost to make and the profit on it, job by job, with the most ordered products and the shortfall on the Demand tab.
Getting set up
1. Start the free trial: Fourteen days of everything, with no credit card. 2. Bring in your products: Import your product list from CSV or Excel, then put what you keep on hand on the Stock page with an opening count. 3. Write your recipes: Say what one batch takes, and each run works out what it needs and what it should cost from that.
Worth knowing
Nothing posts stock movements or cost of goods to Xero. Stock value stays in StackLyft. Barcode scanning finds a product when you add it to a quote, not when you count stock.
Questions
How deep can a recipe go?
Up to 12 levels, so raw materials can make a part, the part a kit and the kit what you sell. A recipe that would contain itself is refused.
Can an order go out in more than one delivery?
Yes. Each consignment is what leaves in one go, and an order can go out in several, each with its own pick slip and labels.
Do Shopify orders become jobs on their own?
Yes, unless you switch it off. An order that needs a person, like one with a product that is not linked, waits for someone to press Create job.
